If I may, I would like to mention a very important topic that most of you know is important in Ecuador. What might that be you ask? It is increasingly becoming evident to me that the real estate opportunities in Ecuador are becoming increasingly “hot” as the market would say.
Some people say that the market has leveled off, and some say that it has gone down, while others say it is actually decreasing. How do you know what to believe? The truth is, it is actually hard to get reliable and accurate information on the state of the economy in Ecuador. It turns out that the truth to this question is not really that hard of a question to answer.
All you really need to do is take a drive around your area to find the answer to this question. What is building in your area? What type of development if any is happening? Ask yourself these questions and take a drive around. Heck, if you want go for coffee with the local realtor. You will soon find out the all mysterious question that seems to fuel a ton of speculation on the internet.
Real estate opportunities in Ecuador do exsist and it depends largely on where you are talking about in Ecuador. For example, in Manta the vacancy rate is over 90% and the housing boom there is exploding.
What about Cuenca, Guayaquil or Quito? Each one of these cities are expanding and growing.
I’m going to go out on a limb and say that Ecuador’s coast is “red hot” and will continue this trend for some time. Why? Ecuador is enjoying frequent and continual promotion from out of country influences such as the United States, Canada and Europe. People in these countries are starting to realize the real estate opportunities in Ecuador. Many factors are pushing the “gringo” to come to Ecuador to stay. Factors such as cost of living, inexpensive housing costs, climate and the laid back way of life are very appealing to the massive aging baby boomer populations.
From only a few years ago Ecuador was hardly ever talked about. Look what is happening today. Ecuador has enjoyed alot of positive exposure and people are just beginning to discover what Ecuador has to offer.
What do you think? Please leave your comments I would love to hear from you.
