Some say that Manta, Ecuador is a dirty, dusty and dangerous city in Ecuador. I beg to differ. We have been in Manta many times and have been exposed to the people, culture and everything that Manta, Ecuador has to offer its residents and tourists. The truth is that Manta, Ecuador is booming in the residential market as well as the tourism trade. Manta is becoming well known and the city’s mayor is progressive and optimistic for the future of Manta.
We have never encountered any violence, crime or other misgivings. The people of Manta, Ecuador were always friendly and accommadating to us everywhere we went. Manta is a little dusty in places due to the arid and sandy environment that makes some regions of coastal Ecuador what it is. Manta, Ecuador happens to be in a dry tropical microclimate that makes Ecuador so unique. I would suggest to anyone who has never been to Manta before, or have a preconceived notion of what the city of Manta is, to go visit the city again and explore, ask questions, visit the real estate office and talk with the local people and expat community what Manta, Ecuador is becoming for the future.
If you are planning on retiring near Manta, Ecuador I have just learned of an incredible condominium development only 15 minutes south of Manta that might be of interest to you.
